We had a great 2 days at Hand as Gatcombe Park was cancelled. On Saturday I took
Congo, Star, Smartie and Milo. Milo was a complete star and won the BN and Discovery. Samrtie had a rail in the Discovery but a lovely double clear in the 1.05m. Congo jumped amazingly well, but had a pole in the jump off of both the Discovery and 1.05. Star was unlucky and had one down in the 1.10 Open, but jumped a lovely double clear to finish 5th in the Newcombers.
We were back on Sunday with Woody, Grace and Tomi. Tomi had only come back from stud a few days before so was quite unfit. I only jumped her in the Fox, she jumped a lovely double clear as a perfect prep for Hickstead as she is going to do the Eventer’s Grand Prix again this year.
Woody was quite fresh, jumped well in the Fox but a bit quick and had 2 down in the 1.30m. Grace jumped fantastic, but struggled with a wide oxer out of a short distance and had the same back rail down in the jump off of the Fox and 1.30m but overall they all jumped very well!!
