About Georgie
If you hadn’t taken up eventing as a career, what would you have liked to do?
I would have continued to show jump.
Who do you train with?
Pammy Hutton and Angela Tucker. In addition, since being on the World Class Start Programme I receive invaluable training from Yogi Breisner, Kenneth Clawson and Nick Burton.
What is your biggest achievement in life so far?
Completing Badminton and Burghley as a teenager with both clear cross country.
How long have you been riding?
Since I was about 4-years-old
Do you have a favourite horse – past or present?
Dreamtime Outlaw (Dreamy) a 138cms show jumping pony I had for 3½ years who I bought from Gemma Paternoster. I have also been lucky to have some very special horses which include, Song For Gull (Gulliver) and Cottage Craft Spirals (Arran)
What made you decide to settle on eventing as your preferred equestrian discipline?
While at Stonar, the school asked me to do the IS ODE and I only had my show jumping pony, Darraks Tonto. She took to eventing like a duck to water and within 12 months I was selected as a member of the 2004 European Pony Squad. I suppose I was just bitten by the eventing bug.
Is there a title that you would like to win?
The Rolex Grand Slam and an Olympic Gold
Do you have a favourite show/event?
Necarne, Northern Ireland, is definately one of my favourites, although it now no longer runs as an event. It was my first trip abroad and my first CCI* after moving up to horses. The dressage and show jumping was in walled arena and the cross-country course was fantastic. Of course, I think winning may also have helped to make it so perfect!
Do you have any pets? If so, what are they and what are their names?
A cat, Neville, a collie called K.D. and a whippet named Millie (who was my 18th Birthday Present.)
Do you follow/play other sports? If so what are they?
I watch most championship games on television, such as football and tennis, but don’t have time to play any thing else at the moment.
Have you any hobbies?
Only riding, but it’s a job rather than a hobby now.
